Tour Description

This tour is the perfect introduction to Bali’s fascinating culture and amazing scenery.
Our first stop is the stone carving village of Batubulan to see a Bali barong dance (Lion Dance).

From there we continue on to the village of Celuk, famous for its gold and silver works village. You can watch skilled artisans creating exquisite pieces from gold and silver.  The next stoptakes us to Mas Village, which is a famous for its impressive wood carvings.  We will stop at one of the many woodcarving workshops where you can see artisans chipping intricate designs from blocks of wood. Your route then takes you further inland through terraced rice fields and up into the mountains.  The vegetation changes from small rice and vegetable plots to bamboo forests and citrus fruit trees.  We will stop at a coffee plantation and see the coffee being processed the traditional way.  We can sample various types of Bali coffee, ginger tea or hot chocolate.

On arrival at Kintamani, you will be amazed with the spectacular views of Mount Batur, with ribbons of black lava running down from its peak to the valley below. The crater is holy, and a sanctuary at the top is dedicated to the fertility goddess.  Lunch at Kintamani is a nice way to enjoy the view of the active volcano and its crater lake.

Heading back to your hotel, we will drive through the famous rice terraces of Tegallalang on the way to Ubud.  it is a nice place for photographs before we drive to Ubud. Ubud is known as the artistic heart of Bali, We will visit one of the many art galleries and can catch the artists at work in this small town.

Are changes to the tour itinerary possible?

This is your tour and the above tour is just a suggestion for you put together by us. We are happy to accomodate any changes you would like to make  Please note that the itineraries are made to be covered in about 10 hours. Additional hours incur an additional charge of IDR50k-100k per hour.

How do I pay for my tour?

You pay directly to your driver in local currency. Payments are made separately for each day – no need to pay for all reserved days up front!

If you want to request a specific driver ahead of time, tours have to be paid in advance via PayPal.

Are your tours private?

Yes! All of our tours are made to be enjoyed by just your and your group. You willl always have your own vehicle and you are free to take as much or as little time at every stop as suits you. No need to follow somebody elses schedule.

What is meant by all inclusive prices?

Inclusive pricing for the tours covers all common expenses during your tour. It includes your vehicle + fuel and your english speaking driver – and also entry fees to all parks and temples you visit during the day, event tickets for any shows on your tour, bottled mineral water during the day, parking fees and even lunch.

Tour duration

Our day tours are planed for up to 10 hours. The time might vary slightly depending on traffic, weather and other things. Usually we will not charge extra if a tour lasts a little longer then scheduled. If changes to the itinerary are requested and the tour is thus extended, there is an IDR 50k-75k (depending on vehicle) charge per additional hour.

What to bring on your tour?

This will depend on the tour you have planed. We always recommend you bring sunscreen, sun glasses and a hat or cappy. If your itinerary includes stops at a waterfall, a fresh change of clothes, a towel and watershoes or flip-flops are advisable. For trekking tours a good pair of trekking shoes is advisbale but not mandatory.
